Tonight we saw Ballyclare take on Ormeau at home in Division 4 of the Belfast and District Table Tennis League. The match ended with a score line of Ballyclare (4) and Ormeau (6). Stephen Sheridan reporting on the match said “After taking an early lead Ormeau were met with fierce resistance from the Ballyclare boys, with Alex and Peter each winning their second matches. Another win from Sebastian in the penultimate game saw Ballyclare close the margin to 4-5, making the doubles a crucial game for both teams, but on this occasion Ormeau came away with the win by the narrowest of margins. A great performance by all six of the young players.”.
