Civil Service D 4 – 6 Banbridge B

Tonight we saw Civil Service D take on Banbridge B at home in Division 4 of the Belfast and District Table Tennis League. The match ended with a score line of Civil Service D (4) and Banbridge B (6). The format for the match was a 4 Vs 3 player format.

Rodney Simmons reporting on the match said “The match was a story of two halfs with Civil service starting strongest rushing into a 3-0 lead. Banbridge began to pull back but at the half way stage civil service lead 4-1 with 5 matches remaining. A steady run of tight results for Banbridge leveled the match at four each. Banbridge held there nerve and won the final singles and then doubles match 3-1. Best on the night for civil service was Chris Flannigan while Graham Davison and Rodney Simmons both won 3 out of there 4 matches. A very tight match with Banbridge relieved to get the win after losing the first three matches.”
