Tonight we saw St. Annes take on Glenburn at home in Division 2 of the Belfast and District Table Tennis League. The match ended with a score line of St. Annes (1) and Glenburn (9). The format for the match was a 3 Vs 3 player format. Neil Magrath reporting on the match said “Glenburn raced into a 5-0 lead before Daniel got the better of Andy in a 5 set match, which swung back and forward, to pull one back for St. Annes. Glenburn then moved up a gear again to win the last three singles with the ever improving and consistent Lucy Craig winning all three of her singles matches before Steve, who also remained unbeaten, teamed up with Andy to win the doubles in a very close match despite the best efforts of Mark and Tom who played really well. All the best to St. Annes for the rest of the season.”.
